Accountless app

Hunch does not create a developer-managed user account or require sign-in. Apple Accounts, App Store purchases, payment details, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple terms.

Information that remains only on your device is not collected by us. If you enable Hunch Plus iCloud Sync, tracking history syncs through your private iCloud account. Device backups, App Store purchase records, iCloud account controls, and platform services are controlled by Apple or your device settings.

Information handled by Hunch

• Posture, nudge, calibration, session, settings, sync, and local app history data used to provide the app experience.
• Supported AirPods and Beats motion and camera face-tracking signals used for posture estimation. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not stored or sent to the website or feedback API.
• Support feedback you choose to send, including feedback kind, rating, message text, optional contact email, support identifier, app version, build number, platform, operating system version, device model, locale, and app integrity information.
• Purchase and entitlement information needed to provide paid access, restore purchases, and support billing enquiries, including Hunch Plus product identifiers, Apple purchase and subscription status, and an installation-scoped anonymous identifier. Hunch does not create a separate purchase account, and Apple does not provide Hunch with full payment-card details.
• Website and technical information such as ordinary server logs, security events, device/browser details, and diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve the website and API.

How information is used

• Provide posture tracking, nudges, today's sessions and trends, Hunch Plus history, iCloud Sync, settings, support, and subscription features.
• Respond to support, privacy, accessibility, security, and purchase enquiries.
• Protect the app, website, and API against abuse, fraud, spam, and unauthorised access.
• Debug crashes, compatibility problems, delivery failures, and service reliability issues.
• Comply with legal, accounting, tax, consumer, App Store, and security obligations.

Service providers

Hunch uses Apple platform services for App Store purchases, private iCloud Sync, and app integrity; a subscription entitlement provider to provide and restore Hunch Plus; and hosting, security, email, and support providers to operate the website and feedback service and respond to enquiries.

We limit the information shared with these providers to what is needed for those services. They may process information in Australia or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate, and their independent services are also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Website cookies and analytics

The launch website is designed to work without advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. Essential hosting, security, and log processing may still occur. If analytics, advertising, or non-essential cookies are added later, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before launch.

Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on your device until removed through app controls, device controls, deletion of the app, or platform backup settings. If iCloud Sync is enabled, available app controls may also delete synced tracking history.

Feedback reports submitted through the app, including copies routed to providers supporting investigation and response, are retained for up to 90 days. Related delivery and security records are kept only as long as needed to operate and protect the feedback service.

Other support correspondence, website logs, and security records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, audit, and operational purposes.

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information we hold about you by using the privacy choices page or emailing us.

Security

Hunch uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards for the type of information handled, including platform security, service integrity checks, abuse protections, and access controls. No service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

Hunch is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Hunch, contact us so we can review and respond.
