Hunch legal
Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 June 2026
These Terms apply when you use Hunch, the Hunch website, support channels, and related services.
Using Hunch
Hunch provides posture awareness, tracking, nudges, session history, settings, support, and subscription-related features. Features may depend on device compatibility, compatible AirPods or Beats, camera access, motion availability, notifications, network access, and active subscription status.
Hunch is an awareness and coaching tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and must not be used for emergency, safety-critical, diagnostic, treatment, or life-support purposes.
Accountless access
The app does not create a Hunch account or require a Hunch login. Any Apple Account used to download the app, purchase a subscription, restore purchases, or manage billing is controlled by Apple.
Apple App Store licence
The app licence for Hunch distributed through the App Store is governed by Apple Standard EULA unless a custom licence is later provided in App Store Connect. These Terms govern the website, support, subscriptions, and related services we control alongside that App Store licence.
Subscriptions and purchases
App Store subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Prices, duration, renewal behaviour, free trials, introductory offers, and cancellation details are shown by Apple and in the app before purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Hunch to break the law, harm others, infringe rights, distribute malware, bypass security, overload systems, scrape the service, manipulate reviews, or send spam.
- Do not submit secrets, payment-card details, health records, passwords, or third-party confidential information unless a feature expressly asks for it and you are authorised to provide it.
- Do not reverse engineer, copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or use Hunch to build a competing product except where the law permits despite this restriction.
Changes and availability
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, preservation of local data, or that every posture estimate will be accurate for every body, desk, device, or environment.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law and subject to non-excludable rights, Hunch is provided on an as available basis. We are not responsible for loss caused by unsupported devices, changed platform behaviour, unavailable third-party services, or use of Hunch for medical, emergency, or safety-critical decisions.
